There is no planet B. That’s why KYOCERA Group UK is taking climate action today.
At the heart of Kyocera founder Dr. Kazuo Inamori’s philosophy is the motto, “Respect the Divine and Love People”. Guided by this philosophy, we are taking action to offset our UK operation’s carbon by working with partners to reforest our paper use and by funding carbon-reducing projects around the world. By carbon offsetting Scope 1+2 and certain Scope 3 GHG-emissions 2021/2022, we are proud to be carbon neutral.
We are offsetting our CO2 footprint through three of myclimate’s climate protection projects.
Ensuring that indigenous land rights are secured and community land use plans are implemented by establishing forest conservation activities.
Distribution of efficient cook stoves for displaced people, reducing the amount of firewood used and reducing CO2 emissions.
Replacing inefficient cook stoves being used by the majority of the Nigerian population with highly efficient cook stoves.
Our calculation of KYOCERA Group UK’s operational carbon emissions includes:
By working with myclimate, Kyocera can carbon offset any new Kyocera printer, MFP or production printer sold in the UK. We can also offer these carbon neutral machines alongside a carbon neutral managed print service, maximising device uptime and minimising your costs whilst aligning with your sustainability strategy.
We are reforesting all of the paper used by our UK operations in partnership with PrintReleaf. As these trees grow, they’ll provide new habitats for wildlife and absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Visit our PrintReleaf page to find out how many trees we have planted so far on behalf of ourselves and our customers.

Kyocera’s products are designed with sustainability in mind.
Up to 30% of the plastics used in Kyocera products are recycled, and over 99% is recyclable. Download our whitepaper to learn more.
We offer a return service for all used, genuine Kyocera toner cassettes, to ensure their disposal in the most sustainable way possible.
We want to reduce the amount of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) that ends up in landfill.
Achieving carbon-neutral status is an important milestone for KYOCERA Group UK, but this isn’t our final destination. We recognise that we need to reduce our emissions as well as offsetting them. What’s more, atmospheric carbon and climate change is just part of the challenge facing us – we all need to reduce our consumption, recycle more and prevent plastic from getting into the environment.
We’ve already taken some important steps forward. We’ve adopted fully recyclable packaging for our products, implemented ISO 14001 and introduced a hybrid working policy for our office staff, cutting down on commuting.
